Bug Description

Binary package hint: jde

Attempt to install package jde on Ubuntu 11.04 (fresh setup) from synaptic has failed. Package shows as broken.

May be, it's because dependencies are missing? Page http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/jde shows as not available following packages: cedet-contrib, cogre, eieio, semantic, speedbar.

On Ubuntu 10.04 jde installation did not have problems.

Cedet is included with emacs23 itself starting with 23.2. The dependencies for jde should apparently be updated to specify emacs23 (>= 23.2) || semantic etc?

Is the fix committed to Oneiric? I still see the broken packages problem in UBuntu 11.10

Why isn't it fixed in Ubuntu for so long? It can be confusing for newbies.
