Bug Description

When running certain programs that use Jayatana, such as Jabref (http://jabref.sourceforge.net/), some menu items do not appear in the HUD searches until one has opened the corresponding menu at least once.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download and install JabRef.
2. Launch Jabref.
3. Press Alt to bring up the HUD interface and search for "quit" (which resides under the File menu). Confirm that "quit" does not surface.
4. After clicking on the File menu once, "quit" now appears in HUD searches.

These steps reliably reproduce the bug for me in Ubuntu 15.04.
