JabRef is Debian and Ubuntu Jammy has the version 3.8.2+ds-16,
doesn't install anything into /opt, doesn't ship a chrome extension
or a postrm script.

It looks like this ticket against a 5.6.60000-1 version refers to the
upstream .deb from https://www.jabref.org/ ->
https://www.fosshub.com/JabRef.html and should be reported at
https://github.com/JabRef/jabref

Cheers,
gregor

That's right. But, why it triggered the report? It happened after a apt-get
dist-upgrade.

Not sure, I'm a Debian Developer and don't know Ubuntu that well :)

I guess the apt system calls some bug reporting tool (apport?) on
failure, so maybe you get a dialog saying "Something went wrong, do
you want to report it?" or maybe this happens automatically.

Anyway, I just wanted to note that this is not a Debian/Ubuntu
problem …

Cheers,
gregor
