Bug Description

If I run iwatch without a trailing slash, it behaves as I expect:

$ iwatch -r src
[25/Jan/2023 15:54:12] IN_CREATE src/kqjq
[25/Jan/2023 15:54:12] IN_CLOSE_WRITE src/kqjq
[25/Jan/2023 15:54:12] * src/kqjq is closed

However, if I run iwatch passing to it a directory name with a trailing slash, it doesn't pick up events:

$ iwatch -r src/
# hangs forever
