Bug Description
Istanbul seems to have 3 modes:
record, stop, encode.
During stop and encode, I get huge cpu usage and experience soft hangs (5-10 seconds interval with no hang and 1-2 second with hang). Have to kill with "killall istanbul". on command line, no error is given, and I end up killing it with ctrl + c.
Please inform me what output I should give. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your bug report.
I'm closing this one and asking you to try Ubuntu's latest version, Gutsy, and its new version of Istanbul.
This bug report seems to be too old, and Istanbul has changed a lot since then.
