Bug Description

Binary package hint: irssi

Suppose an irssi user is in the following channels:

#ubuntu
#ubuntu-bugs
#ubuntu-devel
#ubuntu-beginners

Then an irssi user can type: /join #ubun<Tab> to have the channel name completed. Pressing Tab repeatedly cycles through the list given above. It seems that the tab-completion (probably properly) adds a space to the end of the channel name. The /join does not like this space, however, and if the user hits enter after having completed the channel name, nothing happens. (What should happen is that the window changes to the indicated channel).

So navigating to a desired channel requires typing /join #ubun<Tab> <Backspace> <Enter>

It should not be necessary to hit backspace.

This bug seems to be solved, it works for me currently. In 1.0.7 that is, not exactly sure when this was addressed because the upstream bug tracker has moved in the meantime, too
