Bug Description

Binary package hint: irssi

I opened a terminal window, resized it, and issued irssi --connect irc.freenode.net --nick captivus and the program crashed before displaying any output in the terminal. I immediately reissued the command and it worked as expected, opening irssi and connecting to freenode as captivus.

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04. I have irssi version 0.8.12-6ubuntu1.1 installed.

Why was this bug changed to public visibility? Please forgive my ignorance on the process.

Corey, the bug was made public so it would get developer involvement. The attachments were scanned for sensitive information before doing so.

Does this still happen for you within newer releases? Potential with a release of lucid or newer?

Thanks for checking again,
