Bug Description

When iptux is started for the first time after installing its window is sized correctly. But if the iptux window is resized by dragging one of the window edges (e.g. right border), it automatically collapses to the minimum size. After every resize attempt, the iptux window automatically resizes to the minimum possible size and stays like that. Check attached screenshot.

This is with iptux 0.5.3 on Ubuntu 13.04.

I've got the exact same issue,

Ubuntu 13.10
Cairo-dock OpenGL WM + Compiz

Funny thing, if I grab the resize handle and resize it to let's say ~1920x1080 (full screen), it "animates" by shrinking back to its smallest size in a matter of 5 seconds. It does it vertically first, then horizontally, back to 20px X 100px (rough estimate). No warning/info/error message is displayed in the console window when started manually.

It was ok before, but since I've grabbed the application and hit one of its menus real fast (I did not see which one), it does this now.

I'm facing the same animated shrinking behavior as described in alien2050's comment. I've created a gif of iptux's shrinking behavior -

Hi,
After resized the iptux, try to drag the window from Right-Bottom using mouse, and hold for 5 to 10 secs. Then the screen won't shrink after that.

Thanks, venkatesan. I can confirm your solution. Another thing I did that worked is doing a relatively slow double-click: click once, wait for half a second before the second click then drag to the desired size.

Take note though that if you attempt to resize the window once more, the shrinking behavior will return to annoy you. Hope this helps.
