Bug Description

Binary package hint: iptables

Edgy, iptables 1.3.5.0debian1-1ubuntu1

Example:

root:/home/smtn# iptables -A INPUT -p icmp -s 0/0 --icmp-type 8 -j DROP
iptables v1.3.5: Unknown arg `--icmp-type'
Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information.

I also have this problem when trying to use shorewall.

Just to confirm, the version was 1.3.5.0debian1-1ubuntu1.

I downgraded to 1.3.3-2ubuntu4 and it works fine.

Same problem here, I had to download and install 1.3.5.0debian1-1 from Debian Repository to start Shorewall
