Only to be solved with sudo apt purge ippusbxd

I encountered the problem with a Canon USB scanner on Ubuntu 20.04. Xsane reported "device busy". Found the solution to uninstall ippusbxd on a Mint forum page, https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=329760
