Bug Description
This morning I installed the security update "3.20200609.
Selecting an older kernel did not help.
What I had to do to recover is boot on a live session, chroot into my system, rollback to intel-microcode version "3.20191115.
Then I was able to reboot normally.
Note that my BIOS/firmware is up-to-date (according to "fwupdmgr update").

Hi, can you please include the output of
dmesg | grep microcode
and confirm that the first line contains "sig=0x406e3"?
If so, this is likely a duplicate of bug 1882890.
