I'm not sure the "console-setup/layoutcode" parameter is the problem. The problem I had was that the unattended installer asked for my keyboard layout when I tried using Swedish keyboard layout.

I have now found parameters that work for me in Ubuntu 11.04 Alternative CD for unattended installation without asking for anything, but I had to use US keyboard. The working "txt.cfg" file I use looks like this:

  menu label ^Automatic CD-installation (US)
  kernel /install/vmlinuz

I'm not so sure this is a bug after all. How do I do to close/erase this bug report? Or does someone else have to close it?

No, I think you're right. I'll replace console-setup/layoutcode with keyboard-configuration/layoutcode in the Oneiric guide. I did try to add compatibility code for this but it caused other problems.

If you still can't figure out how to set a Swedish layout unattended (keyboard-configuration/layoutcode=se should work), then please file a separate bug on console-setup.

I don't think I need a Swedish keyboard layout in the first step of the unattanded installation, because the only parameter I set is the computername, and that parameter only accepts english characters!

Anyway, if someone would like to enter the full username they might want to use localized keyboard layouts. I'll try to test this later when experimenting with unattended Oneric installations.
