Bug Description
Binary package hint: inkscape
Using the stock maverick inkscape version (0.48.0-1ubuntu1).
The horizontal and vertical ruler markers that indicate current cursor position do not vanish and "pile up", looking ugly and defeating the purpose of the marker.

I could reproduce the bug.
The markings on the ruler piles up, hence rendering it useless.
