Could you test if crashes appear in latest Inkscape 1.3 release from "official" PPA repo:
https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/ubuntu/stable

Inkscape 1.3 already packaged in Debian Experimental, don't know why this release isn't included in Debian Unstable/Testing, see https://tracker.debian.org/news/1459896/accepted-inkscape-13ds-1-source-into-experimental/

It's not in unstable/testing (and thus ubuntu) because it fails too many tests. See for example https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/3554 - which only got worse.
