Bug Description

The last couple of weeks (not sure of the date) I've downloaded a couple of copies of netboot.tar.gz ( from http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/ ).

Technically the install doesn't fail, but the screen is garbled some time before the netboot installerd start the partitioner during setup. Have seen this behaviour on both Intel and NVidia based video chips.

If the screen is garbled, switching from virtual console 1 to 2 and back 'fixes' the problem.

Just experienced the same behaviour PXE a VMWare workstation 6 virtual machines. That more or less rules out any hardware specific problem I guess.

Although I reported this problem while working with Fiesty, the bug is still their in the Gutsy netboot packages.
