Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-image-
The 6.06 and 6.06.1 amd64 install media supports the Dell perc5i (which uses the megaraid_sas driver), given existing issues with that driver which can be worked around. This controller is present in the new Dell x9xx-series servers, which are likely to become very common as the x8xx servers are phased out.
However, once you've done the installation, the initramfs of the installed kernel does not include this driver, meaning you can't actually boot from the array unless you first boot from the CD in rescue mode and build a new one by adding megaraid_sas to /etc/mkinitramf
Any chance a future image update can include this driver in the production initramfs as well as the one on the installation CD?
