This would be an initramfs issue. However, you can probably fix it by doing:
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.12-10-amd64-k8
See if that resolves it for you. |

My best guess is that something went wrong when generating the initramfs, for example running out of space on the root filesystem. If you can reproduce the problem, please let us know. |
