Bug Description
When booting an LTSP thin client, if the client uses a non-"686" type CPU (i.e.,
a VIA processor) client will load the kernel, but fail to run anything because
of "libc.so.6 library not found" errors. If one boots with a "proper" 686
processor (a Celeron 733 was used in testing) it works fine.

I just want to make sure - You're buliding the initramfs on an i686, and then
booting on a via chip, right?
If yes, then I see what the problem is - I need to force it to not use the
optimised libraries, even when they're available.
