Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The relevant dpkg terminal log says:

cp: cannot stat '/usr/share/plymouth/ubuntu-logo.png': No such file or directory
E: /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/plymouth failed with return 1.

Both files /usr/share/plymouth/ubuntu-logo.png and /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/plymouth are shipped by the plymouth package.

Do you still experience that bug? Can you reproduce it?
