Bug Description
update-initramfs fails to finish update process and hang apt indefinitely. In other order to continue process must be killed. Then apt and dpkg goes into unusable state.
Only way to resolve is to hard shutdown system and reboot in different kernel. Issues follows the linux-image-extra package.
