2007-09-23 11:58:17 René Schmidt description The following entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst resulted in a beautiful highres console with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu it makes console switching impossible because Ctrl+Alt+F1 etc. results in a messed up screen content. ## additional options to use with the default boot option, but not with the ## alternatives ## e.g. defoptions=vga=791 resume=/dev/hda5 # defoptions=vga=791 quiet splash Adding vga=791 leads to the problem. Screenshot will follow. The following entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst resulted in a beautiful highres console with Debian Etch.
