package failes to update on AC100 w/ Quantal image

Running a Quantal AC100 image:

bladernr@mynock:~$ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=12.10
DISTRIB_CODENAME=quantal
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 12.10"

I tried updating the system via apt-get dist-upgrade and the initramfs-tools package fails to properly upgrade:

Setting up initramfs-tools (0.103ubuntu0.2) ...
update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated)
