Bug Description
Fairly recent 13:04 install, upgrade run using update-manager -d.
got the above error. Will try to dpkg-reconfigure initramfs-tools before reboot, and pray it comes up...

It turned out that a 'touch' version of initramfs was being used. tools-ubuntu- touch
Uninstalling that (aptitude remove --purge initramfs-
) didn't work, but
export FLASH_KERNEL_ SKIP=true
before doing a dpkg-reconfigure initramfs-tools was successfull.
