Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-sound
When skipping to the next song in Banshee with the sound indicator, the notify-osd bubble to show that a new song is playing appears over the top of the indicator menu. See attached video.
Note: the solution is not to unconditionally disable notify-osd for Banshee. If I use the media keys, for example, to skip songs, I want to be able to see what I've skipped to without having to manually open the sound menu.
Not sure whether this is an indicator-sound bug (should it tell applications "don't show a notification" when skipping songs in the indicator?), a notify-osd bug (don't have notifications appear over the top of a menu?), or a Banshee bug (don't show a notification for song changes when the song change is user-initiated and the changed song is already visible on screen, i.e., in the sound indicator, or if I use the Banshee skip buttons in the app itself and I'm viewing the play queue). Needs design input.
