Restart required notification not shown in the shutdown menu after installing updates that require reboot

Bug Description
When the updates that require system reboot are installed there used to be a notification in the shutdown menu that a restart is required and the shutdown icon will be red. This is now missing.

I have noticed this. It was only the icon that failed to change, the menuitem in the menu was observed to be correct.
