Bug Description

I've rebooted and updated a few times to make sure this is an actual problem, but I began to notice a couple of days ago that my thinkpad continued to show the "full battery with ⌁" icon even when I unplugged the laptop from the mains. I only caught on to this when the laptop's own power LED turned orange at one point despite the ⌁ icon remaining in the status bar.

Previously this would show the battery level as a sort of meter, and the indicator would turn red once it reached a certain threshold of remaining power.

When I unplug, syslog says:

Feb 17 11:43:15 vezza kernel: [ 788.788901] thinkpad_acpi: EC reports that Thermal Table has changed
Feb 17 11:43:16 vezza kernel: [ 790.340246] e1000e 0000:00:19.0: PME# enabled

When I plug back in:

I expected to see something from this fancy new "upower" daemon I found running, but I don't understand precise's power architecture well enough to be sure and the symptom I saw is in the indicator. This bug may need to be re-assigned.
