Bug Description

After upgrading to 12.10 Beta 2 from 12.04 stable I have realized that the battery icon in the panel has a mismatch with the data actually reported by the Power Settings window.

I was surprised seeing that after hours the icon still showed full battery, but in fact the battery was at 50% approx. Some hours later the battery icon was at half, but the Power Settings window is already showing the message "Caution: Low battery". See the screenshots attached.

The problem itself is trivial but might bring an ugly surprise to users relying solely on the icon to see how much battery they have left.
