Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-messages
I want to blacklist all the messages indicators, but blacklisting seems to not be working.
$ ls /usr/share/
evolution pidgin
$ ls ~/.config/
evolution pidgin
Yet I still have pidgin in the "envelope" icon, and the envelope icon itself. I would like to see the entire envelope icon disappear.

This appears to be due to memory corruption in the indicator-messages tool itself. It uses a string hash without allocating memory for the key and value pairs. Attaching a branch to fix the problem. Likely the root cause of bug 533023 too.
