indicator-messages not showing up

Bug Description

Dear all,

Despite having indicator-messages installed on Ubuntu 16.10, it does not show up in the top panel on startup.

Is there any way to manually start indicator-messages to see if there is any error message?

It will only shows if there a app is using it. Try installing geary or thunderbird.
