Bug Description
Actual behaviour:
- Green envelope is displayed when there are incoming notifications.
- Envelope icon turns white when user sees the notification centre.
- Envelope icon turns grey when there are no notifications.
The presence of a grey envelope notification icon (when there are no notifications) can mislead users into thinking they have an outstanding notification. The presence of this icon (with the exception of informational icons) suggest that something is active/on or requires attention (eg. unread messages or missed calls). Users only expect to see the icon when there are incoming notifications.
Expected behaviour:
- Monochrome envelope icon.
- The white envelope icon only appears on the status bar when new notifications arrive.
- If user sees the notification centre (or acts on the notification when it arrives), the envelope icon should disappear.
