Bug Description
When I first log in, I can see the envelope icon for the messages indicator. I am able to click on it, and cause the drop-down menu to appear. However, soon after I log in, the icon disappears, and I can only open the messages indicator by clicking on another icon and dragging the mouse over the single pixel wide column of the panel that the indicator still seems to own.
Also possibly unrelated but other indicators are not appearing for me, including indicator-weather and indicator-

Right between the transmission icon and the wireless indicator, there is a 1px wide column of the panel that I can click on that opens the messages menu. I cannot take a screenshot of this menu -- it seems to swallow PrintScreen key presses.

Hi MindVirus, thanks for reporting this bug. Your icon theme doesn't include the new messaging menu icons with the chat status emblems.
The attached branch makes the messaging menu fall back to the "old" icons when the ones with the emblems aren't available.

Looked at the package in the queue, and bug report. This looks sane. Accepted.
