Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-session
When a user sets their status to offline, whether via the indicator-session applet or empathy itself, disabled ALL status options in the indicator-session applet (i.e. they are greyed out) forcing the user to open empathy in order to change their status and re-establish status control via the indicator-session applet (at least until the next time the user sets their status to offline).
I don't know whether this is the intended behaviour or not, but it is damned inconvenient and I can't think of a justification for it.
