2011-06-14 12:54:36 Eliah Kagan description Binary package hint: indicator-datetime On a fully updated Oneiric i386 system I performed the steps that had previously produced bug 788801. The crash here is the same crash as in (now duplicate) bug 797146 (which was on the Oneiric i386 20110614 daily-live without debug symbols). This bug supersedes bug 797146, since it has a much better stack trace. Specifically, I logged in with a unity-2d session and clicked "Time & Date Settings..." in the time/date (calendar) applet menu. This similar crash occurred instead. This crash is a bit strange, since signal 5 is SIGTRAP, which typically occurs only when a program is being actively debugged. I'm not sure if this should be considered a duplicate of bug 788801. In that bug, g_logv() called abort(), which triggered abnormal program termination with SIGABRT by calling raise(). In this bug, it appears that the program is terminated within g_logv() with SIGTRAP.
