Indicator-datetime should provide a GAaction for toggling the activation of alarms.

Marco, could you explain more what you're asking for here? A way to toggle on/off whether alarms will go off?

Charles, yes.

Basically new desing requires toggalble alarms using a switch from the indicator. So we'd need the backend to do provide an action in order to do that.

Devid volunteered to help, but if this is a too big change I can handle that too.

Hi, I'm sorry but I don't have enough free time to work on this because it can be tested/implemented only on a mobile device, at least for me: I cannot get ubuntu-clock-app to use eds engine on desktop (unity7,8,xenial,yakkety,snap,deb,built,i386-emulator-on-xenial), it falls back to memory engine so alarms are not saved.
