Bug Description

As demonstrated in the attached screenshot (taken in Ubuntu 15.04), there appears to be too little space between the day and the time. The "1" looks at first glance to be part of the time.

Well spotted, thanks Casey.

This might be an unfortunate problem with the digit "1" in particular. It's made the same width as all the other digits (so that it will line up in financial statements etc) by adding more space on either side of it. This means there's more empty space to the left of a 1 than any other digit. I don't think you'd have the same problem with a date starting with any other digit. But then, since about 1/3 of all dates start with the digit 1, it's still something we should fix somehow.
