indicator-datetime or -session missing ~10% of the time

Same symptoms as Bug #1239710 which was marked fixed. It happens quite frequently lately in my Ubuntu 14.04 install (fresh install).

Likewise, date/time missing on login on 14.04 as per previous bug (which I also saw sometimes on previous versions of Ubuntu)

Killing the /usr/lib/unity/unity-panel-service process restored the time.

Workaround: add the following command to your startup applications:

sh -c "sleep 0.4 && killall unity-panel-service"

Issue might have disappeared in 14.10.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect <bug #>

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
