Some days in month view are invisible when Coming Events is also displayed

The date/time indicator has the option of displaying a month calendar as well as a list of upcoming events from Evolution. When both options are enabled ("Monthly calendar" and "Coming events from Evolution Calendar" in the settings panel), the month calendar is broken. The days that have events on them are invisible.

Note that if I change the desktop Theme to something other than Adwaita, the problem goes away.
