no upcoming events in evolution calendar

The upcoming events of evolution calendar do not appear on the top right calendar widget.
Once the top right icon, the gear wheel, was not in and the upcoming events was there.

Stephen, this is working for me in 14.04 -- in fact, I'm using it quite heavily and it's needed for alarms, so I know it's working for the other alarm testers as well. Are you still able to reproduce this issue?
