Bug Description

Invoking the HUD with alt n shows among others the option: "Enable networking" even if networking *is* enabled and selecting this option will actually *disable* networking!

Thank you for your bug report, is there a corresponding item in the nm applet indicator? the hud just reflects menus from the indicators

Indeed, there is a corresponding item in the nm applet indicator. BUT that item is checked when enabled and so it doesn't induce users to inadverdently disabling their network. (Thats exactly what happened to me ... ;-/ )

This is a design flaw in the network menu, and separately a design flaw in the HUD.

It's a design flaw in the network menu, because it is not sensible to have an item that is both a checkmark item and starts with "Enable". Either use a checkmark item, *or* toggle the item text between "Turn On XYZ" to "Turn Off XYZ" (or better yet, use a switch widget); don't try to split the difference.

And it's a design flaw in the HUD, because even if every checkmark menu item was sensibly worded, it would still not be obvious which ones shown as HUD results are currently checked and which are unchecked.
