Bug Description

I'm on a clean install of 12.04 daily build from 2012-03-24 with all updates. I've installed "gnome-panel" to get Ubuntu classic.

The panel shows time as "3:10PM" even though I have set it to "24-hour" clock in "Applications::System Tools::System Settings::Time and Date Settings".

Thank you for your bug report, what locale do you use? Does it work under unity? The applet is only a loader, that could be an issue with indicator-datetime itself as well

Same here. GNOME Classic under Ubuntu 12.10 – Indicator Applet Complete 12.10.1

Using dconf-editor, gconf-editor etc. has no effect on time format. In dconf-editor one can change to display date, seconds etc. but time format string has no effect.

This works: (Alt+F2 or in terminal)

    XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Unity gnome-control-center indicator-datetime

Select clock and 24 hour format.

Alos note that adding the Clock item to panel does not have this bug. It is only for the one beside "Start" in upper right corner.
