Bug Description

Operating system: Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS
Desktop manager: GNOME 3 Session Fallback (gnome-session-fallback 3.2.1)
Process in which the problem occurs: indicator-applet-complete 0.5.0-0ubuntu1
Process that reproduces the bug: Spotify Linux 0.9.11.27.g2b1a638c

The application is loaded as an Indicator Applet in GNOME with the typical green icon of Spotify. That is, it is loaded into the process indicator-applet-complete. The latter process usually use 50MB at worse but when Spotify is launched and after a dozen of songs played, indicator-applet-complete uses 600MB and at the end of the day, the memory used is around 3GB...

After tests, this bug does not occur in Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS with gnome-session-flashback 3.8.0. Hence, this bug does not duplicate bug #1340629
