Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04 x64, all updates installed.

Way to reproduce:

Install Radio Tray.
Install Notifications Indicator (package indicator-notifications from ppa:jconti/recent-notifications).

Start listening to some radio, that updates track info for every tune played. See how indicator-applet-complete memory usage grows over time. Currently it uses 565Mb for me.

I use indicator-applet-complete with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and gnome-session-fallback.
Memory usage of the applet had increased to 460 MiB. I killed and restarted the applet, now it is using 8.8 MiB

This is code isn't used outside of the gnome fallback sessions, neither unity 7 nor 8 uses this.

Triage (e.g., tracking down a trace of the leak in valgrind) or even a patch would be very useful in moving this bug forward. I'd be happy to see this fixed.
