Bug Description

I use cGmail (version from lp:~d6g/cgmail/indicator-applet) and sometimes it fails to show a message in the NotifyOSD. I have filled a bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450394

Recently, I noticed also AmarokNotify (http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/NotifyAmarok?content=103307) sometimes fails to show a message in the NotifyOSD. (There is a new version available which fixes a character encoding problem: http://mantis.blogsport.de/images/NotifyAmarok1.1.amarokscript.tar.gz)

Because both use indicate-python, I was thinking maybe the fault lies here. To summarize:
- Most of the time, it just works .
- However, sometimes an expected notify is not showed
- I did not discover a common cause (character encoding, length of message, etc)

As the problems from AmarokNotify and cGmail seems the same, I filled this bug report.
