Bug Description

Related question: https://askubuntu.com/q/1050291/259048

I installed the packages `libimlib2:amd64` and `libimlib2-dev` under Xubuntu 18.04. I ran `file` on one file out of curiosity. I was surprised that the system complained "broken link".

    $ file /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libImlib2.so
    /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libImlib2.so: broken symbolic link to libImlib2.so.1.4.10

Seems a bit odd. Please provide the output of

dpkg -L libimlib2:amd64 libimlib2-dev

Thanks.

Sorry for delayed response. Thanks for your suggestion.

As my self-answer of the linked question suggests, I've reinstalled libimlib2:amd64 and removed libimlib2-dev, and the missing libimlib2.so.1.4.10 in the package libimlib2:amd64 is finally found under /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/. This enables Conky to run. Given the reinstallation of libimlib2:amd64, I don't think running any dpkg command now can address to the problem about the installed package three months ago.

P.S. I was downloading from an unofficial mirror site. Now I've switched back to an official one.

To avoid any red herring, I won't rubbish you with dpkg's output of the reinstalled libimlib2:amd64.
