Bug Description
Hardware: HP Z220 SFF Workstation, 32 GB RAM, 250 GB SSD + 1 TB SSD, UEFI, no secure boot. Discovered bug in a VM made with pure QEMU+KVM, SeaBIOS, 4 GB RAM, 15 GB disk space, 2 CPU cores. Host OS is Ubuntu Studio 22.04, guest OS is Lubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu Alpha in a live session.
Steps to reproduce issue:
1: Click the Application Menu, hover over Graphics, and click "ImageMagick (color depth=q16)".
2: Click somewhere inside the image that appears.
3: Click "Image Edit".
4: Click "Composite..."
5: Click "Cancel".
Expected result: The file browser that pops up in step 4 should vanish, and everything should proceed as normal.
Actual result: The following error pops up:

This message is immediately followed by:
