Bug Description
Binary package hint: imagej
The imagej package appears to have some serious missing dependencies and is completely broken. This is in Karmic.
install from the package, then run from command line:
$ imagej
Open other images in this ImageJ panel as follows:
imagej -p 1 <image1> [<image2> ... <imageN>]
cat: /usr/share/
/usr/bin/imagej: line 418: //bin/java: No such file or directory
Looking into the script that is the imagej "executable", it seems to want a "JAVA_HOME" environment variable to be set. If you try setting it, other stuff breaks.
This package needs to be either fixed properly by the package owner or removed from the repository since it is useless as-is.
