Bug Description

Ubuntu/Lubuntu Quantal i386, 64bit and powerpc

Packages involved:
Firefox 15.0.1
java-common default packages
icedtea-7-jre-jamvm
icedtea-7-plugin
icedtea-7-netx
icedtea-netx-common

This report was launched from an powerpc iBook G4, but it is the same on i386 and 64bit systems; so not cpu architecture specific.

When I try to launch this java based BankID test, browser crashes immediately. Midori does the same. It runs fine in Windows. It is a widely used standard sign-in for web based Bank services.

Site involved: https://www.bankid.no/Hjelp-og-nyttige-verktoy/Nyttige-verktoy/Test-din-BankID/

Sorry the site is not in English, but java popup should easily be recogniced. Browser crashes as soon as java starts running.

Is this still reproducable? BTW, the Java applet based Bank ID is now being replaced by a HTML/JS based one, so this should not be an issue anymore in Norway.
