Bug Description
Binary package hint: icecast2
- i installed icecast2 with synaptic
- i then needed to change some configuration files included in the /etc/icecast2 directory
- i got "permission denied" for an answer while trying to "cd /etc/icecast2"
- somehow i figured that /etc/icecast2 belongs to user named after icecast2 and group named after icecast
- in the meanwhile through system-
- i gave it a try through irc #icecast. There someone told me that "sudo bash" would work. It did work and after that i had access to /etc/icecast2. I made some changes and then i needed to start the server. But the server denied to start up , proposing that i should not try to start it with root. So i exited the previous shell (which i made with "sudo bash") and tried to start up the server. Then i got back to the beginning where i had no access to the /etc/icecast2 directory.

guys i got it or at least i found one solution
i do change the files with "sudo bash"
and then i fire the server up with "sudo /etc/init.d/icecast start"
it seems that after all it was not a bug ..... sorry for mentioning it here.
