ibus 1.20.20091215 japanese with anthy error

Bug Description
I am running ubuntu 10.04 alpha 3 and I am also using ibus version 1.20.20091215. I am also using japanese anthy m17n. When I start ibus I then opened gedit but when I do the ibus icon disappears but then the icon comes back. Then when I click on japanese anthy I can type in japanese but the icon does not change so I have no way of knowing if it changed to japanese with trying out type first. The same thing also happens in openoffice 3.2
