Skype amd64 won't work well with PulseAudio
[environment]
Ubuntu8.10 amd64
[about this bug]
I asked a question how to solve the problem that Skype interrupts a mediaplayer(like totem-gstreamer
This condition is same as this post's one. > https:/
[test]
0.Set a mediaplayer to use PulseAudio.
1.Add medibuntu repository.
2.Install skype.
3.Set skype to use PulseAudio.
e.g.)
"Sound In" "hw:foo,0"
"Sound Out" "pulse"
"Ringing" "pulse"
4.Play AudioStream through PulseAudio.
5.Phone to Skype's Test Call.
Then, a mediaplayer's audiostream will be interrupted.
[workaround]
Use Ubuntu i386.
In i386 environment, Skype seems to work well with PulseAudio.
[how to fix]
I guess that ia32-libs package lacks some necessary library(but I have no proof :P).
This is mplayer's log(gmplayer >mplayer.log 2>&1). No infomation of this problem is recorded.
